Jalepeno Poppers w/ Cream Cheese & Bacon

It also combines the amounts of any ingredients that are used more than once.

GROCERY LIST: Jalapeno Poppers

INGREDIENTS

  • Jalapenos (sliced lengthwise & seeded): 6 (medium size)

  • Cheddar Cheese (shredded): 1/4 cup

  • Cream Cheese (softened): 3 oz

  • Bacon Bits: 1/4 cup (or more!) ~6 slices

  • Green Onions (chopped): 1/4 cup

  • Garlic (minced): 4 cloves

  • Cilantro *Optional (minced): 3 Tbsp

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Prep

    • Preheat the oven to 400 F

    • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil

  2. Cook the Bacon (6 slices) —if you aren’t using ready-made bacon bits

  3. Prep the Veggies

    • Wash the Jalapenos, Cilantro and Green Onions

    • Wear gloves and slice Jalapenos lengthwise & de-seed, leaving the stems attached

    • Chop the Green Onion (1/4 cup)

    • Mince the Garlic (4 cloves)

    • Mince the optional Cilantro (3 Tbsp)

  4. Make the filing

    • Soften the Cream Cheese: 3 oz

    • In a small bowl, mix:

      • Cream Cheese (softened): 3 oz

      • Cheddar Cheese: 1/4 cup

      • Green Onions: 1/4 cup

      • Cilantro: 3 Tbsp

      • Garlic: 4 cloves

  5. Fill the jalapeno halves with the mixture.

    • Place onto the lined baking sheet.

  6. Top the Jalapeno Poppers

    • Top each popper with Bacon Bits (1/4 cup OR more), press lightly into the cream cheese filling.

  7. Bake ~15 mins (until the peppers are soft and the bacon is crispy) Enjoy!
