Yahara is a 2005 Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 43DS.
What does Yahara mean?
The Yahara River is in southern Wisconsin.
It is the tributary that feeds and connects the lakes around Madison, Wisconsin.
Why did you name your boat after a Wisconsin River?
We were both born and raised in Wisconsin & we met in Madison.
Wisconsin will always hold our hearts. We look back fondly on our memories growing up in the heartland.
Honoring our past through her name feels right.
How long have you had Yahara?
We purchased Yahara in Lake Union — Seattle, WA on July 3, 2020.
We immediately moved her from Seattle to Olympia, our home port.
On May 15, 2023 we moved aboard as full-time liveaboards.
